UTRECHT, NETHERLANDS – XLNT Advanced Technologies, manufacturer of the triple award-winning CyberHoist motion control system, has appointed Hoist UK as its Sales Distributor for all XLNT Motion (CyberHoist motion control) products for the UK. This is a fast-growing market, where the CyberHoist system, the world’s leading chain hoist motion control system, is a fully proprietary product, tried and tested on some of the most prestigious international tours and events.
Hoist UK, located on the Wirral peninsula, has a wealth of experience based on formal training and practical site work in industrial factories, theatre installations and the event touring industry, with a wide range of entertainment and industrial lifting equipment in its distribution line.
The new agreement is designed to expand the UK sales, rental and support network for the CyberHoist system, with Hoist UK providing sales and distribution for both rental and installation customers, alongside London based Vertigo, as CyberHoist Service Point, also one of Europe’s longest-standing rental users of the system, who will continue to provide rental, sales, service and maintenance support. Both companies are backed by XLNT Advanced Technologies, which provides manufacturer-level training and backup.
Marc van der Wel, Commercial Director, XLNT Advanced Technologies, comments: “We are very pleased to announce this agreement with an active and dynamic company whose people have such a strong track record with hoist system distribution. Hoist UK’s people have years of experience in the industry, excellent knowledge of rigging, safety issues, training and support for customers, and close connections with many users in the industry. This expansion alongside Vertigo, and with the full backup and support of XLNT, will broaden the strength and geographical breadth for CyberHoist in the important UK entertainment technology market.”
Tony Dickson, director of Hoist UK, added: “I have known the XLNT team for a long time, and I have watched the CyberHoist system’s development since its infancy during my days as manager of PCM, from the drawing board up to the most advanced and the safest chain hoist motion control system in the industry today.
“I feel that the relationship has come full circle and Hoist UK is proud to support the CyberHoist system in the UK. We will make the product available to the professional UK entertainment industry who I know will be able to make full use of the system with some very spectacular events, and with the 2012 Olympics in the planning stages, well, who knows…?”
Paul Jordan, co-director of Hoist UK, commented: “Technically the CyberHoist system, with InMotion 3D control software, surpasses anything else the industry currently offers. It is smooth, quiet and very fast, but the selling point for Hoist UK was that this is the safest chain hoist motion control system on the market – which is our main criteria for choosing a product. Once you own a system you join an exclusive worldwide team whose rental fleets can be made available to you, as yours can be to them; this is product cooperation and networking both here in the UK and on a worldwide scale, and can make what would normally be a huge investment in equipment suddenly economical, allowing for far more impressive systems to be offered.”
The InMotion3D object oriented software and CyberHoist intelligent vari-speed motors offer the complete solution for video screen movement, lighting trusses, set pieces, stage sets etc, “LDs will love the versatility and added dimensions it can offer, technical managers will appreciate the time saving reliability and repeatability of the system and the fact that it is fully certified to BGV-C1 allows for world tours without any re-certification problems,” added Dickson. The CyberHoist system won the PLASA Award for Innovation in conjunction with its InMotion 3D object-oriented control system and the DataMotion and PowerMotion system components from XLNT.
Hoist UK will be promoting the CyberHoist along with XLNT at this year’s PLASA show on Stand K75 and will also have their own fully comprehensive range of hoists, controllers and rigging products on their own dedicated stand, H72, in Hall 2.
XLNT Advanced Technologies develops specialist solutions for a variety of entertainment technology applications across a broad spectrum of audio, lighting and rigging applications.
FEATURES INCLUDE:
• Simple easy to learn software:
Our 2 day introduction and training programme provides sufficient knowledge to run the system.
• Smooth, silent acceleration:
With three different weight capacities the whisper-quiet CyberHoist intelligent motors offer a variable speed range from true-zero-speed (0 mm per second) to 2 feet per second with acceleration and deceleration ramps providing shock-less, smooth starts and stops. CyberHoist also has the longest duty cycle capability available on the market, allowing your creative ideas much more freedom to grow than with conventional motion control systems.
• Object-oriented for intuitive precision:
Intuitive InMotion3D CyberHoist Management systems make it easy to translate a designer’s creative ideas into fluid motion in three dimensions. Any show becomes fast to design, programme, rehearse and rig by programming the movement of complete objects, rather than individual motors.
• Safety in motion:
CyberHoist safety standards meet and exceed the world’s toughest regulations. The new, ultra-precise Digital Loadcell, and the dedicated XLNT DataMotion Ethernet data distribution products, ensure the same consistent standards are met at every step in the system.
