Using the VR with a Jib Crane

Using a VR Electric Chain Hoist with a Jib Crane within an industrial environment provides a safe, robust lifting and handling solution to optimise your operation.

Subjective to your individual requirements we have a variety of Jib Crane available for you to choose from, including floor mounted, wall mounted and ceiling mounted. Dependent on the jib crane you choose the slewing range can vary from 180° to 360°, the radius/span can range from 2 to 8 metres and the jib arm can either be a profile beam, Eurosystem beam or hook suspension to configure with an electric chain hoist or manual chain hoist.

Our articulated jib cranes, which include TA Wall Mounted Jib Crane, TC Free Standing and TSR Ceiling Mounted Jib Crane have a fixed hook mount for chain hoists.

We also have a range of jib cranes with profile beam arms that are configurable with low headroom trolleys, push travel trolleys, manual trolleys and powered travel trolleys, as well as wall mounted and free standing jib cranes with Eurosystem arms that are compatible with a Eurosystem trolley which is supplied as standard with the VATS Wall Mounted and VFTS Wall Mounted jib cranes.

WHEN DOES YOUR HOIST NEED A GENERAL OVERHAUL OR TO BE REPLACED?

Hoists, whether they are electric chain hoists, manual chain hoists, electric wire rope hoists or electric belt hoists are all manufactured with 10 years of serviceable life before a major overhaul or replacement is required. The ten year service life may not necessarily be a physical ten years of operation, but may be used up more quickly or slowly based on how the machine is being operated during its working life.

In order to help evaluate the working life of a hoist you need to be able to calculate how much of the original manufacturers Safe Working Period exists after your lifting operations have occurred.
